Thank you to all involved! Be sure to reach out to Erika Kojelyte, Erlend Engelstad and the team if you have any questions!
We are feeling energised and inspired after yesterday's European Energy Exchange AG and Lacima joint event in Singapore. It was great to hear about the launch of EEX's new LNG $TTF product and their strategy for the region. It was also good to see our own Chris Strickland sharing his wisdom on how to hedge LNG deals and portfolios using futures like TTF and JKM. It was nice to connect with so many stakeholders from the energy sector in Singapore and a special thanks to all the existing Lacima customers who were able to join us. If you weren't able to make it, but would like to hear more, comment and we'll get in touch. #LNG #TTF #hedging #futures

🔄️ Myth Busting with Grexel: Residual Mix Calculation Made Simple 🔍 As Grexel collects 2023 residual mix data, let's clarify misconceptions! 🔍💡 Myth Busting Series: Residual Mix Calculation Demystified 💡🔍 Data collection for the 2023 residual mixes has just commenced, marking the perfect time to delve into the world of residual mix calculations! Ever found yourself bewildered by the complexities surrounding residual mix calculation? Fear not! In this series of posts, we're debunking myths and shedding light on the details of this crucial process. 🌟 Myth 1: Residual mix calculation is very complex 🌟 Contrary to popular belief, residual mix calculation is more straightforward than you might think. It simply refers to "all generation attributes which are not explicitly tracked". For each energy source, we start with generation data and subtract all issued certificates and add back attributes of expired certificates. For example, the volume of wind power in the residual mix is calculated as: Wind power production – issued wind GOs (and possible other tracking) + expired wind GOs. This process is repeated for each energy source, resulting in the “Domestic Residual Mix”, which is then balanced with the European Attribute Mix to become the Final Residual Mix. Want to learn more? 👉 Check out our blog post for a detailed breakdown of the entire process: https://lnkd.in/dQ5fk2A7 Stay tuned for more myth-busting insights in this series! #RenewableEnergy #ResidualMix #SustainabilityInsights

Yesterday, REMIT II has entered into force, marking a significant milestone in the enhancement of market integrity and transparency. At EEX, we welcome these changes as organising transparent and safe trading is at the heart of what we do. We encourage all market participants to get up to speed with the new Regulation, including its definitions, reporting requirements as well as notification requirements related to algo trading and direct electronic access. For market participants based outside the European Union (EU), it is mandatory to designate a legal representative in an EU Member State starting from 8 November 2024. Rest assured, the EEX Transparency Platform already fulfills the REMIT II requirements, giving our customers a peace of mind. More information can be found in the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) Open Letter detailing new reporting requirements among others. #REMITII #EnergyMarket #RegulatoryTransparency To the Open Letter: https://lnkd.in/dfXckWvP To the EEX Transparency Platform 👉 www.eex-transparency.com
